Course Status
Stop Press (May 2026) – Building works are well under way, and the map has been updated accordingly. Check out the Mirrlees Fields web site.
Last checked October 2026. Everything OK, except B D and R have disappeared under the building works, and the Start/Finish has been lost to the path upgrade work which is close to completion.
NB. post N has been moved 30m or so, as its depression has become a shelter (see news item). Get a new map !
nb. the paths through the grass seem to be ever-changing, and mapped “small trees” are much bigger now.

Start/Finish
The start/finish is in the centre of the fields, approximately 300m from the nearest parking. NB: A is no longer an access point.

Park Facilities
There is no car park for the fields, and no facilities such as toilets or cafes.
Parking is on local streets to the West of the fields, Lowland Road is suggested. Kinross Avenue has space for one or two cars for the entrance A. Please park with consideration for the local residents.

Directions
Approach from Bramhall Lane, A5102. At the small roundabout turn into Woodsmoor Lane which becomes Moorland Road. Lowland Road is on the right just before Woodsmoor station.
Alternatively approach from the A6, turing into Woodsmoor Lane next to Stockport Grammar School, turn left into Moorland Road, pass Woodsmoor station and then left into Lowland Road.
