Megatons of rock are being planted around the river at Reddish Vale, apparently to prevent the undermining of the viaduct stanchions. Amazingly, the POC is unaffected.

Rotted old post replaced and repositioned out of the brambles.
Spring vegetation well under way. All controls clean and accessible.
Missing or poor-condition posts replaced today at Brabyns Park, Reddish Vale and Wythenshawe Park. The picture shows the new post P at Wythenshawe.
Fence with a plaque on restored to the vertical at Urmston Meadows; plaque replaced on bridge at Reddish Vale; full tour of Dove Stone. All in a days work – and now there are no issues that we know about in any parks, other than quite a bit of painting would be good.
